Street Department

The Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of infrastructure on Town right of ways, snow removal, and leaf pickup.

Meet Your Street Department

Your Street Department consists of a group of very talented employees that possess a variety of skills that allow them to maintain the town in an efficient, responsible and timely fashion.  They are committed to providing safe streets and sidewalks, high functioning sanitary and storm sewers, and attractive and well maintained town buildings.

Apart from those most basic responsibilities, they also keep town owned trees trimmed, or removed if necessary, pick up litter, maintain equipment and assist other departments when needed. street guysFrom L to R - Larry Williams, Heath Merrifield, Brian Moore, Cameron Young, Brad Boles, Scott Kelly, Doug Baker, Steve Stiles, Kevin Greeson

Snow Removal Notice

Posted on Dec 7, 2016 in Community News, Featured News, Public Works, Streets Department

Winter is quickly approaching and the snow will be falling soon.  The street department will be clearing the streets in a quick and efficient manner and should be finishing the entire town within 24 hours after the snow event has passed out of our area.  If you clean your walk or drive before they are finished you run the risk of the snow from the street being pushed onto your cleared area.  Please wait until the streets are cleaned from curb to curb before you clean the area closest to the road.  We cannot avoid moving the snow onto your property and the streets must be cleared for emergency vehicles to have access thru town as well as residents.  Your cooperation and patience is appreciated and remember that when you clean your drive, please place the snow in your yard and not back into the street.  As always, alleys and cul-de-sacs will be last to be...
